VLEs are spreading in the education systems, thanks to the clear political will, as expressed in the speech Mr de Robien, a former French Minister of Education, held in Poitiers on September 14th, 2006.
But what about their adoption ratio ? We’ll look at that status after the Free VLE Prométhée Prométhée 7 years of use and through users feedback. First, we’ll consider the problems one can meet while deploying a VLE, from 3 points of view : the person in charge of information technologies pov, the management pov and the teachers pov.
As a conclusion, we’ll present simple tools and methods that should back up the deployment policy, in order to eliminate any reluctance to the VLE use.
