SimExplorer, a software tool for managing numerical experiments
SimExplorer is a software designed for managing simulation experiments and to some extent the scientific quality of the modelling process.
SimExplorer provides an environment with a set of tools to help to build experimental design on complex models. SimExplorer offers an easy access to distributed computing ressouces like clusters and grids through several middlewares. The scientific quality management is addressed through an information system which insures the traceability of the experiments and their reproducibility.
SimExplorer is distributed under the GPL license, and takes advantage of other free software projects. The software is highly extensible and we expect to gather other teams to improve its abilities.
Nicolas Dumoulin has an engineer position at the french laboratory of
engineering for complex systems of the Cemagref, in Clermont-Ferrand. His main
works are related to the development of tools for a better understanding of
ecosystems using numerical models, and especially individual-based models.
