Sacks, a manager of collaborative tools
Sacks’s mission is to give to the free software community a free software to realize Adunanze Digitali. Adunanze Digitali assembly on line. To organize an Adunanza Digitale several services are needed : video streaming, screen-cast, wiki, voip, file sharing and so on.
What makes Sacks different from all meeting tools is it is simple. All other meetings tool’s aim is to integrate all the services in a specific software. This is what Sacks does not do. Sacks works as a package manager. Sacks helps a sys-admin to set up services through the assembly. Sacks’s basic idea is to handle services, and dependencies among services, in the same way aptitude handles packages and dependencies among packages.
