Libre Internet And Solidarity Economy : More Than A Proximity
Many social and solidarity organizations are using the Libre because it’s “just less expensive”.
But the proximity between Free internet and social and solidarity exconomy is much more than that. in fact, the one and the other are contributing the creation of a “common good” which is ruled by the principle of reciprocity.
In this presentation, we’ll first restate the principles that lead to the social and solidarity economy development. Then, we’ll show that the very same principles are governing the development of the Libre Internet (free software creation or pintware, free interactive web sites). We’ll also show the differences in strength of cooperation introduced by the Free Internet but we’ll underline the fact that they don’t contradict the similarity in essence between these two types of human creations.
