Traduction(s) de cet article : français Español

The Libre Software Meeting, Rencontres Mondiales du Logiciel Libre is an event of the Free Software Community in France. It has happened since the year 2000.

This year, the tenth meeting is organised from July 7 to 11 2009 in Nantes (France).

The Educational session of this meeting will give an opportunity for educators to meet developers of free applications, and share professional practices in connection with free software.

On this occasion, le program will make an unprecedented place for all overtures toward the initiatives based on the now well tried principle of free software, particularly these that allow the sharing of knowledge at all levels - including scholar domains and these which concern research and new knowledges.

The point « Publication and Knowledge Sharing [*] » will spread along one day allowing all people who organise the sharing of knowledge – particularly of the teachers, researchers and formative corps, as well as the representatives of institutional and public collectivities - to meet those who design or develop and manage free ressources as well those who are involved in their use.

The topic "Publication and Knowledge Sharing" is calling for speakers to present their free projects, related particularly to the following subjects :

  • organisation of grey literature release
  • organisation of free publication of scholar items,
  • free software designed for metadata recording and ressources indexing
  • mutualisation along the principles of free software of specialised documents in various domains such as law, medecine, human sciences, technology, sustainable development etc

The programs of past years are available online : 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 (a), (b), (c), 2007,2008

The program for year 2009 is in the making and will be published at http://2009.rmll.info.

It is not a scientific conference, the selection process will remain as light as possible. Interested persons are invited to contact topic’s chairmen at education@rmll.info as early as possible before the 1st of March 2009.

The speakers are invited to write an abstract of about twenty lines and forward it as soon as possible, and a document of 6 to 12 pages (A4, in an open format as OpenDocumentFormat, Postscript, PDF or plain text).
